What is the Dolippe Facebook Application?

Dolippe is a unique Facebook application.  What Dolippe does is create a donation badge for your Facebook groups. Say you have a Facebook group in conjunction with your on campus student organization. Instead of having members pay dues in person, you can give them the option of paying their dues through PayPal using Dolippe badge on your club’s Facebook Group page. Dollippe is really easy to use. All you have to do is enter your Facebook Group’s name, your PayPal email address, and a donation amount that you’re asking. I made a badge for my Facebook group The Frugal Law Student. What is the Polls Facebook Application?

Polls is probably the best polling Facebook app I’ve seen. What makes Pollection’s Polls Facebook application stand out from the rest is it’s unique multimedia feature. You can add sounds, video, and images to your Facebook polls. For example, say you wanted to create a poll on which Green Day song is the best, Polls allows you to upload sound clips of Green Day songs, so those taking the poll can listen before voting. I can see this feature coming in handy for bands wanting to find out which of their songs fans like most.

On the app’s main page, you can see the hottest and most recent polls created on Facebook. As of this writing, there are polls on “Who would win in a fight” and “How fast is your broadband connection” (obviously created by a tech geek).

Polls looks to be one of the main contenders Facebook application polls.

Dream Book is your one stop spot for all your dream needs. You can record your dreams in a nifty dream journal and share them with your Facebook friends. Additionally, you can get free dream interpretations as well as access to a library of thousands of dream symbols. The coolest feature is the ability to tag your friends that were in your dreams.

What is the MySpace Top Friends Facebook App?

MySpace Top Friends allows you to display your top MySpace friends on your Facebook profile. Installation is pretty easy. You’ll need your MySpace friend ID  as well as your MySpace set to “public” for this app to work. You also have a little say in how the app appears on your profile page. Plazes allows you to let your Facebook friends know where you are at on a map and what you are doing there. You can updated your status and location through SMS on you cell phone. Plazes keeps track of all your where abouts, so you end up creating a travel log of some sort.

• You have to have a Plazes account to use. Signing up for apps offsite is always annoying
• In order to take full advantage of Plazes, you’ll have to download some software.

What is the iSpend Facebook Application?

iSpendhelps you keep track and hold you accountable for the money you spend. How much you spend and where you spend you money is displayed on Facebook profile. A funny feature is that it takes the amount of money you spent and shows how many rolls of toilet paper you could have bought.

• Having to invite your friends before you use it
• It would be cool if we could pick what the “how many rolls of toilet paper I could have bought” was. I’d like to put “how much I could have invested,” or “how much could have gone to rent”

MyLists allows users to create any number of lists for whatever purpose- groceries you need to pick up, movies you want to see, high scores for all your games. Any list you can possibly fit within five column spreadsheet can be made. You can also browse and edit your friends lists, as well as share your own. Unfortunately, these lists don’t seem to appear anywhere on your profile, and are instead replaced with an annoying “hello” message.

TouchGraph Photos Facebook Application

What is the TouchGraph Photos Facebook application?

The TouchGraph app allows you to visualize how you and your Facebook Friends are connected. It’s Java based so you can zoom in to see connections on a micro level or zoom out to see them a big picture. You can also move around invidviduals or clusters of networks so you can get a better of view of who people are connected.

One of the coolest features is you can click so it only shows the people who you have had pictures taken with on Facebook.

To be honest, I had some trouble getting the hang of how to use this app. It was kind of confusing. After a few minutes, though, I was having some fun.

TouchGraph Photos Cons

• The interface is confusing at first, but once you get the hang of it it’s pretty fun.
• It’s pretty slow loading
• Because it runs as a separate Java application, it uses more of your computer’s resources. I noticed my computer slowing down a bit while using it.
