Audio Facebook Application
What is the Audio Facebook Application?
The Audio Facebook application was developed by Numair Faraz. This app allows you to upload music and share it with others on your Facebook profile. The best part of this app is that you add songs that other people have added to their list to your own list. In short, Audio is a file sharing tool. The developer has posted a message saying that all this is legal, but I’m kind of suspicious. With Audio, I can get all the free music that I want. I guess what makes this legal is that you can’t listen to the music outside of Facebook. However, I’m sure there’s someone who had developed a piece of software that allows theme to rip music off of the Audio application.
Audio Pros
- A very simple and efficient music share app
- Easily upload music
- Add songs from others profiles to your list easily
Audio Cons
- Looks a little bit shady, but the music industry hasn’t said anything yet.

Filter Facebook Application
What is the Filter Facebook Application?
The Filter app allows you to create custom music play lists from your iTunes or Windows Media Player and post them on your Facebook profile in a nifty flash player. In order for the app to work, you have first install Microsoft .NET framework. This allows you to transfer you songs from your computer to the app. After downloading the .NET Framework, you have to register with Filter and download an offline application that allows you to create your playlists. Once you do that, you go back to the Filter Page on Facebook and decide how you want to display your songs.
Filter Pros
- The widget is pretty slick looking.
- Make your own playlists right from iTunes or Media player.
Filter Cons
- Pretty time consuming to setup. You have to download a few things before you can even use it.
- Set up could be confusing for many users. I can see many people having a hard time getting this app to work.
While Filter does take time to set up, it’s well worth it. It makes uploading songs to share with your friends very easy.

Boombox Facebook Application
Tired of music apps that only give you a pre-selected library of songs to choose from? Check out the Boombox Facebook Application.
What is the Boombox Facebook Application?
Boombox was developed by Adam Mosseri from San Fran, CA. The Boombox app allows you to share your favorite songs with your friends on your Facebook Profile. In addition to sharing songs on your profile, you can send songs to friends who are using the app as well. Unlike many of the music apps on Facebook, Boombox allows you to create your own music library. Boombox doesn’t offer the ability to upload music directly to the app. Rather, you have to provide a link to the song you want to add from a file you already uploaded somewhere else.
Boombox Pros
- Ability to create own music library
- Ability to send songs to friends
Boombox cons
- Takes a long time to load
- No direct uploading. It’s kind of pain to have to upload your music at other sites.
- Glitches include songs not playing and list disappearing.
I think Boombox’s best feature is the ability to create your own music library. If the developer can iron out the app’s known glitches, this should be a killer Facebook app.
