What is the Dvolver MovieMaker?
The Dvolver MovieMaker app was developed by Ben Rigby. It’s a nifty little app that allows you to create fun animated movies. Creating movies is a breeze. You pick from a selection of backgrounds, pick your characters, pick what type of interaction your characters have, decide what your characters will say, and add some music.
My first movie was entitled “You Suck.” It’s a story about a woman and Uncle Sam meeting in the park to tell each other they suck.
One of the nice features about the MovieMaker app is the ability to decide who gets to see your films. You have the option of just sending them to your friends or you can display a badge in your profile that lets people click on a link to watch your film.
MovieMaker Pros
- Very easy to use.
- I didn’t have any problems with bugs.
- Huge selection of animation to make your movie.
- You have control over who sees your films
MovieMaker Cons
- No voting capability. It would be really cool to vote to see who has the best Facebook movie.
- Too pre-set. You really don’t have much control of the characters’ actions or where they stand in the scenery. It would be nice to have more control over this.
Overall MovieMaker is a real fun app. Ben has put together a quality app that is easy to use and isn’t plagued with glitches. Ben is taking suggestions and working to incorporate them in new releases, so we can look forward MovieMaker becoming even better.

Red Bull RoShamBo Facebook Application
What is the Red Bull RoShamBo Facebook Application?
The Red Bull RoShamBo app lets you play the classic game of RoShamBo (aka Paper, Rock, Scissors) with your friends. After installing the app, you can send challenges to your friends. If you win, you gain cred points. If you lose, you lose cred points. The app provides a leader board so you can see which Facebooker have the most amount of cred playing RoShamBo. There’s also a page that offers different strategies to beat your opponents. The box in your profile displays your win/loss record as well as how many points you have.
Red Bull Roshambull Pros
- Lots of fun to play.
- The overall leader board is nice
- You can find people to challenge on app’s homepage
Red Bull Roshambull Cons
- Not too many here. It’s an overall good gaming app.

Pets Faebook Application
Oh man. Someone’s created Pokemon/Tamaguchi for Facebook.
What is the Pets Facebook Application?
The Pets application allows you have a “pet” on your Facebook profile. It was created James Lin from Berkley. Right now the selections of pets consist of these rabbit looking things in different colors. After you select your pet, you can trick it out with different items like the Sapphire Claw of the Phantom, a turtle shell, and even guns. Each item gives your pet different level points that will help when it does battle enemies. That’s right. You can fight your Facebook pet. My inner third grader is peeing his pants with happiness.
Pets Pros
- Battle your pet Pokemon Style!
- Large selection of items to trick your pet out with
- Battle Bosses
Pets Cons
- You can only choose rabbits. Boring.
- Needs a leader board to see who leads in the Pets Battles
- Needs dueling feature. I want to see if my Facebook Pet can kick your Facebook pet’s ass.
If you played Pokemon or D&D as a kid (of if you still do) then you’ll enjoy pets. From the suggestions board on the app’s homepage it appears the developer will be implementing the thing that I think the app is lacking. Awesome
