Duck Hunt Facebook Application
What is the Duck Hunt Facebook Application?
The Duck Hunt Facebook Application brings everyone’s favorite classic NES game to Facebook. It’s pretty simple. After you install the app, you can play Duck Hunt within Facebook. You use your mouse to aim and shoot the ducks. You have three shots to get all of them. There’s a full screen option as well for better play.
Duck Hunt Pros
- Duck Hunt is one of the greatest games ever made!!
- It installs fast. Many game applications are pretty slow to load, so this was a nice change.
- Game play is great. Not choppy like many other game apps.
Duck Hunt Cons
- No leveraging of Facebook’s social network. It would be cool if you could display your high score in your profile or see a list of the highest scores ever.

Tetris Tournament Facebook Application
What is the Tetris Tournament Facebook application?
There’s nothing more annoying than getting a high score in Tetris and losing any record of it when you turn off the Nintendo. Those days are over now that Tetris Tournament is here. Not only is this a great recreation of the historic puzzle game, it also allows users to post their high scores to their profile and compare them with friends! It even keeps a list of the top ten scores on Facebook, so you can see how you compare to even the best players (and they can get pretty good). Highly recommended to any fan of the game.
 Tetris Tournament Pros
- Great recreation of the original game
- See your friends scores and beat them
- Global ranking
Tetris Tournament Cons
- No share feature

PacMan Facebook Application
What is the PacMan Facebook application?
PacMan is a more or less perfect recreation of the classic arcade game for Facebook. The only problems with the game right now is that it can’t be put in the left column and the screen often scrolls with the arrow keys when played. In terms of gameplay, however, the classic Pac-Man map is used and the point values are the same as the original. The only difference seems to be in the ghosts patterns, but that’s something only hardcore players will notice. Overall, this is highly recommended if you’re a Pac-Man fan.
 PacMan Pros
- Exact recreation of the original game.
- Still fresh after more than 20 years.
PacMan Cons
- Page won’t stop scrolling while the game is being played.
- No High Scores

Free NES Facebook Application
What is the Free NES application?
Free NES is an incredible application that allows you to play every single game for the original Nintendo system completely FREE in your browser. From A Boy and his Blob to Zombie Nation, they’re all here in their full 8 bit glory- and when I say “full 8-bit glory” I mean some of the games even play like the dust needs to be blown out of the cartridge. For the most part, though, these games seem to have been copied directly from well-preserved copies of the games. My only major complaint against the app is that the games run much slower then their NES counterparts due to the fact that they run on Java, but most of them are still very playable. Highly recommended.
Free NES Pros
- Every single Nintendo game
- Even some rare, hacked, or Japanese-only games are available!
Free NES Cons
- Can’t change controls
- Runs slower than a real NES

Gottabet Facebook App
What is the Gottabet Facebook App?
Gottabet allows you to create bets and invite friends to participate. There’s no actual money involved, so you don’t have to worry about losing money. (It also would be illegal.) Your bets are displayed in your Facebook Profile for all your friends to see. When you create a bet, you just fill out a one line form saying ” I bet….” , followed by what you want to bet.
Gottabet Pros
- Nice integration with Facebook
- It’s pretty fun
Gottabet Cons
- It would be cool if you could comment on your friends’ bets
- Doesn’t have a betting leader board so you can’t see who’s won the most bets.

Zombies Application brings the “Undead” to Facebook

All right, let’s go over the basics of the Zombies Application first. The developers of this application came to the logical conclusion that after witnessing the constant reappearance of zombies in our culture and society that we have only one fate: to eventually turn into Zombies our-self. Then they realized that if our fate is sealed to turn into Zombies, we have no other choice but to practice being a Zombie. You start out as newbie zombie and must bite your friends and infect them in order to claim a higher Zombie level. Although you can bite as many of your friends as you want, you have to turn them in order to infect them and climb the Zombie level ladder.
Zombies Application Pros
- Not only do you have to bite your friends, they have to “turn” into Zombies by adding this Application in order for you to properly infect someone.
- The only way to make your Zombie stronger is by infecting more people. This allows more of a challenge than usual tag applications.
- Other than actually being a Zombie, this is the closest thing to the real deal folks.
Zombies Application Cons
- Some users are having trouble with scrolling on their Bite a Friend list. (Developers have been working on a fix though.)
- Lacking in features and options. (Developers promise more features coming soon.)
- It sucks that we’re all going to turn into Zombies, but I guess you have to work with what you got.
I see hoards of facebook users turning into Zombies in the future. This application has great appeal and as soon as facebook users start getting a feel for facebook applications this is destined to be a favorite. Anyone who has seen Shaun of the Dead, Dawn of the Dead, or Night of the Living Dead will add this application, no questions asked. Having your own near-mindless, brain eating Zombie get to practice the art of infecting humans was enough for me.

Feelin’ Lucky? Russian Roulette Application
“One shot.” “Just one shot.” If you’ve seen The Deer Hunter, you know what I’m talking about. The Russian Roulette Application is as simple as the real deal. Only this time you’re playing with a cap gun and finding out your fate through a simple text output. Once you add this application, a revolver is presented on your profile where you or your friends can test your luck. How many times you shot yourself and how many times you survived is listed above the gun.
Russian Roulette Pros
- You can’t actually kill yourself.
- Unlimited lives. It’s like playing the rigged arcade game where you don’t have to insert quarters.
- Shows a history of past attempts by you or friends.
Russian Roulette Cons
- Might be offensive to some people. Pshhh….
- No options or settings. What if I want to try three bullets instead of one?
- Your fate is either the word *click* or BANG! What? No BOOM! or POW!
The Russian Roulette Application is simple yet, surprisingly entertaining even if only for a few minutes. For those of you looking to gain anything out of this application all I have to say is, “What the hell is wrong with you?” Freolic, developer of this application, puts it best when he says, “This is no more than glorified dice.” Touché.

Games Facebook Application
What is the Games Facebook Application?
The Games App allows you to play simple online games with other Facebook users. You have a variety of games you can choose from. I started playing Blackboard Football and got my butt kicked several time. After you a play a game, it displays who you played against in your News Feed. You decide if you only want to play against people in your networks or you can opt to play anybody on Facebook.
Games Pros
- The games are actually pretty fun. I highly recommended Blackboard Football.
- Control over who your pool of opponents are
Games Cons
- I didn’t see any type of leader board. It would be cool to see who’s the best
