What is the Honesty Box Facebook Application?

Honesty Box allows you to send anonymous messages to your friends. You can also post a question on your Facebook profile for your friends to answer anonymously. To test this out I asked “What do you think of my pogg collection?” I haven’t received any answers to my question yet.

The idea of this app is to let you say what you really think of your friends. Since you’re hiding under a blanket of anonymity, you don’t have to worry about the repercussions of what you say. However, anonymity creates viciousness. It can definitely be used as a tool for cruelty.

• Useful tool to get unbridled feedback. If you’re looking to improve yourself, you can get unadulterated feedback from your friends.

Honesty Box Cons

• People have been reporting bugs with the app such as Honesty Box not even showing up in their profile. However, the developers are working hard to fix them.
• If you reply to someone who left a message in your Honesty box and that person doesn’t have Honesty Box installed, they won’t see your reply.
• Ability to delete replies.
• You can’t see what other people have said about your friends. That would be cool.
