What is the Graffiti Facebook Application?
There’s actually two different versions of a Graffiti app. This one was created by Ted Suzman at WashU. Graffiti allows your friends to draw pictures on your profile page. There’s a small box on your profile. When someone wants to draw a picture, they click on “draw” It then takes them to another page so they can have it with your board. In order for your friends to draw, they have to have the app installed as well. Graffiti requires Flash 9 for it to work.
Graffiti Pros
- Easily draw pics for your friends
- Pretty robust drawing application
Graffiti Cons
- People have reported disappearing app boxes on their profiles
- There’s also a bug that has been solved, but it requires you to tinker McAfee security service. Kind of a pain.
- In order for friends to use it, they have to have Flash 9 installed. They have to download it, which is kind of annoying.
Graffiti is a fun little app. I don’t see it as something particularly useful. It’s a nice way to personalize your profile, though.

Its one of the best, if not the best, facebook applications. It’s fun and simple to use, whether you want to spend a minute sending a simple message or fifteen minutes drawing a detailed comic. The replay feature lets you see how people drew their work, which is also interesting. It’s one of the only reasons I use facebook.
