What is the Waretoo Facebook Application?

Waretoo was developed by Be There Inc. It allows you to list where you’re going to be on a certain night and then allow you to invite your friends along to show up and meet you there. You can add what your favorite places to be are. Waretoo allows you to search for your favorite places to be in your town. For example, I did a search for IHOP in Tulsa, OK. Waretoo brought up a list of all the IHOPs in Tulsa. I selected which one is my favorite and Waretoo added it my list. If I plan on being at this particular IHOP on Thursday, I can click on “I’ll be there” and Waretoo allows me to enter in the date and time I’ll be at IHOP. I can also give ratings to my favorite places.

Waretoo Pros

• The location search. I was impressed with the list of IHOP’s that Waretoo brought up.
• The rating system. Nice touch.

Waretoo Cons

• I ran into several error pages, but that’s expected with these new applications.
• Is there really a need for this app? Wouldn’t it be easier to just put on your Facebook Status that you’re going to be at such and such place at such and such time? I can see how Waretoo would be useful if you weren’t using Facebook, however, I think Facebook is already equipped to allow you to tell your friends where you’ll be.
