Facebook Applications Reaching Saturation Point

Over at ZDNet Aisa, there’s a great article about the recent Facebook application developer meet-up. There’s some great interviews with Mark Zuckerberg about his thoughts on the first month of Facebook Platform.

What was interesting was the statistics provided by the article. According to the article in the first month of its launch, more than 40,000 developers have requested to be a part of the project. 40,000! Around 1,500 have been approved so far.

Some developers mentioned that they’re seeing Facebook app fatigue. Whether this will hurt new application releases is to be seen.
