What is the 30 Boxes Facebook Application?
30 Boxes is a popular social calendar that allows you to share your schedule with your friends.
30 Boxes Pro
- Quickly add your friend’s birthdays to your calendar
- Share with your friends your availability
30 Boxes Cons
- I couldn’t get the damn thing to work. I kept getting error messages.
- Kind of creepy. Do you really want anyone to know what you’re doing and where you’re going to be at any given moment?
I’ve used 30 Boxes before on their own site, so I was looking forward to trying out the Facebook app. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get the thing to work. It appears I’m not the only one having this problem and the developers are working to fix it.

I use it and love it. I don’t find it creepy at all. It lets people know what big events I have coming up IE a wedding I am attending. I don’t use it as a daily schedule, no real point.
What kind of lame review is that?
The app is working well for thousands of users. There are some challenges to developing into the facebook system and bugs are fixed quickly after they are confirmed.
It is a PRIVATE calendar until YOU choose to share, so what is creepy about it?
Give it another go.

Thanks for stopping by. I gave it another go and it worked fine. I’ll be doing an update. You’re right that people can set it to private, but I think part of the allure of 30 boxes is the ability to share your calendar. Of course you can always dictate what you do and don’t want to share. I’d be interested to see how you use it? Do you use it just as a personal calendar or do you share it with your friends? I’ve always used it as my personal calendar. I like the clean easy to use format.

I think many people don’t find it creepy; however, I think most people are still a little nervous about sharing that much info with others.
