iLike is the fastest growing feature on Facebook right now. It seems like everyone is installing this Facebook application. What’s there to like about iLike? Let’s take a look.
What is iLike?
iLike is a Facebook application that allows users to add music and videos to their Facebook profile. You can let your friends know what you’re music tastes are. iLike does provide some free mP3’s you can put in your iLike application. You can also share with your friends if you’ll be attending your favorite band’s upcoming concert.
iLike Pros
- Easy way to share music with friends
- iLike provides free mP3’s and videos for your iLike profile
- Share with friends concert plans so you can meet-up
- The creators of the application are quick to respond to feedback
iLike Cons
- Selection of mp3’s limited
- Music tracts are pretty short
- Reported bugs that cause the application to stop working completely; however, the creators are pretty good at responding to these problems quickly
Overal, iLike is a pretty spiffy Facebook application that you should try adding to your Facebook profile.

I use this one also. I basically use it to show what music I like and not for saving, or listening to, MP3s. I also like it for showing what concerts I want to attend and which ones I am going to. The downside of that is that it is missing a few of the ones in my hometown. A bit frustrating there. I also like that I can hide things. If my box is too big I can hide a part of my list so that it is smaller. It works well in the left column also. Overall, it seems to be a pretty good app and one I am keeping.
I like iLike. But there are a few cons. first, their concert system is based on ticketmaster. if you’re going to a festival that doesn’t use ticketmaster, the band would have to list the show individually, but the system isn’t easy for up and coming bands to use. first, they have to sign up at Garageband, and then they have to write a whole lot of reviews to get their songs onto it without paying for it. it’s certainly not a PureVolume app, but it’s good.
